Just how inconsiderate can one get?

I posted this to STOMP a while ago. (click on title to get to the page)

Just look at this man in the picture.
Not only did he take off his shoes and socks, he also took up more seats than necessary.

the mr Beng had been on board the MRT when he spotted this commuter with ugly behaviour.
I was on my way home one night when I notice this guy sitting opposite me taking off his shoes and then laid himself over the seats.
What started to irritate me was when he proceeded to take off his socks!

This was when I took out my handphone to snap a shot.
At City hall when the crowd came in the guy just folded his legs and sat upright hogging 2 seats!
What action can we take against these kind of people?"
What do you think?

Watermelons, how much will u pay for one??

In local markets one can pay between 2 to 3 dollars for a reasonably size watermelon.
BUT will u pay for a higher priced watermelon of a similar size?
And whats price of the most expensive watermelon u've seen?

This melons (from Japan, with their own individual box!) I saw at at supermarket in Liang Court sells for.....

WTF! I can buy God-knows-how-many watermelons with that money!

But its not the most expensive. My colleague who has been to Japan saw watermelons at a price of ¥50,000! thats about S$ 625!!!!!
Tell me about the expensive watermelons u've seen ya?

2 odd shaped watermelons:

The pyramid-watermelon and the already famous square watermelon.

Batam Beach View Resort (yes, the mr beng went on a holiday again :D)

I've really no time to post as I've lot of things to do. Heres an update of wad the mr Beng did recently :D
We went on a trip to this resort on the 27th of June. We decided to stay at their one bedroom villa and its very easy to do all the bookings via the resort
website.
All the ferry bookings were even settled by their staff :D

Nearing Batam.

ahhh... finally we see Nongsa ferry terminal

The design of t
he terminal is very ethnic Indonesian design with the colours, statues all the way to the pavement!

We dare not take photos of the terminal in case the customs there might mistake us as terrorists!! :D

There resort staff there ready with the resort minibus to bring us :D

We crossed a bridge and i snapped another shot of the terminal.

Upon reaching the resort main gate theres a security post and checks were done. :O

Resort lobby. Theres the resort lounge area and also KTV and a pub at the basement and 2nd floor.
Upstairs are all the rooms and 5th floor theres a spa.

What are these cute little ???? I still can't figure out what animal it is. Can anyone tell me??

Theres free 24hrs buggy transport to our villa (which is great!) cuz the villas are situated quite a distance away from the main building. The villas are built right up to the sea.

Below our balcony.

Lets look ard the villa :)

Theres a dining area and small kitchen area.

Living room with tv, sick of tv, den watch sea, den tv, den sea...... ;D

Next to the bedroom. With seaview too.
I like the bed and the mosquito net :)

And the bathroom. ops! only took photos of the bathtub. :b

After happily exploring the whole villa we decided to take a walk ard the resort. The beach nearby has a water sports centre for all your water sports needs from snorkeling to banana boats and jet skis.
As we approached the main building guess what we found?

Theres a small area near the swimming pool where they kept some animals like squirrels and birds like peacocks, parrots, chickens & turkeys.

I would suggest you apply some insect (or mosquito) repellent if u were to go there. ;)

I like the free form swimming pool with a deep 3m end :D
Theres also a small herbs garden. Again repellent recommended.

We had our dinner at the kellong restaurant and we have no trouble getting vegetarian food :D

The next day's lunch was at the resort coffeehouse.
Interesting was the Ice kachang. the atap seeds are dyed green :O the dessert was ok except its abit too sweet.

We decided to go to Nongsa city to take a walk and see the local life.

We went to a local mall, Matahari.
Right next to the KFC is BFC (?) Best Fried Chicken. :D

Teh O Beng. I'll rename it Teh Of Beng :D

Wah my post very long liao. In short its worth going there for a short quick break from Singapore' hectic life. The Mr Beng will be back (to the villa again of course ;D).
