Never Miss first Opportunity !!

A young man wished to marry the farmer's beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission. The farmer looked him over and said,
"Son, go stand out in that field. I'm going to release three bulls,
one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter."

The young man stood in the pasture awaiting the first bull. The barn door opened and out ran the biggest, meanest-looking bull he had ever seen. He decided that one of the next bulls had to be a better choice than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through the pasture out the back gate. The barn door opened again.
Unbelievable. He had never seen anything so big and fierce in his life.

It stood pawing the ground, grunting, slinging slobber as it eyed him.
Whatever the next bull was like, it had to be a better choice than this one. He ran to the fence and let the bull pass through the pasture, out the back gate.

The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was the weakest, scrawniest little bull he had ever seen. This one was his bull. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and jumped at just the exact moment. He grabbed... but the bull had no tail! Hahahahaha!!!

Life is full of opportunities. Some will be easy to take advantage of, some will be difficult. But once we let them pass (often in hopes of something better), those opportunities may never again be available. So always grab the first opportunity.

Refusing to Accept Failure

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest. On May 29, 1953
he scaled the highest mountain then known to man-29,000 feet straight up. He
was knighted for his efforts.

He even made American Express card commercials because of it! However, until
we read his book, High Adventure, we don't understand that Hillary had to
grow into this success.

You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest, but failed. A few
weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members.

Hillary walked on stage to a thunderous applause. The audience was
recognizing an attempt at greatness, but Edmund Hillary saw himself as a
failure. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the
platform.

He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud
voice, "Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I'll beat you the
next time because you've grown all you are going to grow... but I'm still
growing!"

Two Monks

Two monks on a pilgrimage came to the ford of a river. There they saw a girl
dressed in all her finery, obviously not knowing what to do since the river
was high and she did not want to spoil her clothes. One of the monks took
her on his back, carried her across and put her down on dry ground on the
other side.

Then the monks continued on their way. But the other monk after an hour
started complaining,” surely it is not right to touch a woman; it is against
the commandments to have close contact with women. How could you go against
the rules for monks?”

The monk who had carried the girl walked along silently, but finally he
remarked,” I set her down by the river an hour ago, why are you still
carrying her?”

Do good and forget it. and Keep undue worries out of your life.
